July Systems has launched a interactive mobile game service which allows consumers to download a special interactivity-enabled mobile game, play, and post their scores to a community leaderboard directly from their mobile phones.
The service called Play2Win is for Mobile Streams on their UK games portal MobileGaming.com and is offered with a weekly subscription.
Emma Buckingham, Head of Mobile Games at Mobile Streams, comments, “July Systems’ smart mobile retailing solutions allowed us to transform the way content such as mobile games is offered to our consumers. The Play2Win service delivers a new interactive and community-driven mobile experience that is far superior to just playing a game alone on the mobile phone. Our experience selling mobile content has shown that consumers are willing to pay for such innovative services.”
“The Play2Win service demonstrates how July’s mobile retailing technology can multiply mobile content revenues and profitability for our customers,” said Ashok Narasimhan, Chairman, CEO & Co-Founder of July Systems “In addition, our low-cost, end-to-end managed service capabilities and our cross-carrier mobile retailing infrastructure in UK means we can have new services for UK customers up and running in weeks with minimal integration requirements or investments by our customers.”
