India’s leading communications business magazine Voice&Data released the 10th Indian Telecom Industry Report. The report is based on a survey of 500+ telecom companies spanning carrier, enterprise and end-user communications equipment vendors. Here are some of the findings.

* Telecom services industry grew 16 percent from Rs 58,741 crore in 2003-04 to Rs 68,069 crore in 2004-05.
* Private operators accounted for 43 percent of the total telecom services.
* The mobile industry is estimated to be around Rs 23,284 crore ($5.2 billion) in FY 2004
