M&A activity in Europe
Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile) is expected to announce on Friday that it has agreed to buy Austrian mobile operator Telering for about $1.6billion.
Last week, France Telecom bought Spain’s third largest mobile operator Amena for $12 billion.
And Ireland’s Eircom acquired Meteor, a local mobile operator for $506 million.

Reliance telcos to be brought under RCVL
All the telecom-related ventures of the Reliance group will be brought under Reliance Communications Ventures (RCVL) as part of the reorganisation of the Reliance group. RCVL is a special purpose vehicle that will ultimately be the listed entity. Plans are to get it listed before March-end ‘06.
