Living through the Indian mobile revolution

Spicey Movie

Spice Telecom, a provider in Punjab and Karnataka, will soon invest $60 million to produce a film.

“We have decided to foray into film production business and our first venture will be a film called ‘Buddha’,” Spice Telecom, Chief Executive Officer, Prakash Nanani told reporters here on Thursday.

In October, their overall market share came down to 2.87% with a gross subscriber base of 15.2 lakh. So I don’t understand the need to diversify when India is experiencing such brisk growth and operators are setting their sights on the 200 million mobile users target by 2007.
