Ring Back Tone for international roamers

Posted on | November 5, 2006 |

Trai has directed mobile operators to provide special ring-back tone facility to help discourage unwanted calls while on international roaming.

International roaming subscribers generally don’t receive caller line identification on incoming calls, making it difficult for them to identify and choose the calls that they want to answer.

This facility will allow the playing of messages such as, “I am on international roaming

From a subscriber’s prospective, its good directive from TRAI for international roamers.

it would be great if subscribers, local or roaming, can have selective call rejection or selective incoming calls service from service providers.
